HOTEL Franklin Vintage Sign
This vintage image of the Hotel Franklin neon sign was originally taken in 1986. The approximately 9’ high by 24’ wide sign would be rolled out on a track over the street and turned on when there was a vacancy in the Franklin Hotel. When the Hotel was full the sign would be rolled back along the portico roof. This is the inaugural image in the Sparkle City Snaps Collection, created in 2004. The original photo was shot in 1987.
